Summer
Camp Program

The
Summer Day Program is held each year from mid June through August. The
program, centered around horseback riding instruction, equestrian skills
and animal care is open to children
between the ages of six (6) and
sixteen (16). All levels of horsemanship are included from the young
beginner to the accomplished horse show veteran.
Riders
are assigned to small groups according to their skill level.
Riding and Equestrian Education Programs are designed to meet the needs of
each level. MerryMount maintains a large number of well trained
school horses and the riders also learn the proper care
of these animals.
The
program hours are from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Extended care for
earlier arrival (7:00-9:00 AM) or later departure (4:00-6:00 PM) may be
arranged for a small fee.
Sessions are
limited, so call the office for an application form,
or click here to
download.

The
Friday Horse Show
Every
Friday, a formal Horse Show is held, with each group
competing at
their level in various events. We strongly urge parents and friends
to attend (and bring their cameras).
Following the
show, a Pizza party is held (parents also invited) where ribbons and
awards are distributed. Each Week, a CAMPER OF THE WEEK AWARD is
given and that rider has earned him or herself a month's set of regular
riding lessons!
