MerryMount promotes several different kind of showing opportunities for riders:

 

Open Shows:   

We hold four Maryland Horse Show Association rated shows yearly. This year's series dates for 2010 are:

May 2nd and June 6th

In-House Shows:  

Shows for our student and boarders only.  Twice yearly, for a week in the Spring and again in the Fall, we hold these shows for all from our  brand new beginners to the accomplished horse show veterans, each showing at their own level.  At week end  trophies are awarded.

Team Shows:

MerryMount fields two  Youth Show Teams in the National Capital Equitation League (NCEL) , the National Capital Short Stirrup League and an Adult Team in the National Capital Adult Equestrian League (NCAEL).  These teams are chosen yearly by competitive tryouts, and compete against other established riding facilities in the greater Baltimore Washington area.  (Tryouts are held in October)

Away Shows:

We take students to away shows (with either our school horses, or their own mounts)  in our nine horse trailer.   The shows range from fairly close non rated schooling shows, to Nationally recognized "A" rated events.  (Availablity posted before each event or series).
